Dr.Sohagia was named Top Doctors by Coastal Virginia Magazine in the state of Virginia for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022; and by Virginia Living Magazine in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022.

Dr.Sohagia is a member of the North American Spine Society, American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He enjoys painting, outdoor sports and spending time with his family.



Dr.Kinjal Sohagia completed his residency at the Institute for Family Health, NY where he also provided medical coverage for numerous athletic events, including the New York City Marathon 2007 and 2008. He completed his fellowship at the University of Utah which is recognized as one of the top training programs in the field of sports medicine. During his fellowship training, Dr. Sohagia received extensive training in various spinal procedures and other non-operative techniques to treat back pain. He also provided medical coverage for orthopedic and sports injuries at various ski clinics and athletic events.



Dr.Sohagia is a board certified, and fellowship trained physician in Sports Medicine and Interventional Pain management. He has 12+ years of extensive experience in a variety of nonsurgical procedures to help patients suffering from sports injuries, spine, vertebral and disc related problems. He has a special interest in back pain, overuse injuries and regenerative medicine. Dr. Sohagia served as a Sports Medicine Director and Team Physician for the high school athletic teams in York County for 5 years. He established a free injury clinic for athletes and implemented a concussion management program as well. He enjoys the opportunity to work alongside athletic trainers to return athletes to sports.

Medications/Opioids :

  • Dr. Sohagia is not accepting patients whose sole desire is an opioid refill.
  • Our office uses the Virginia Prescription Drug Monitoring Program in order to monitor and reduce the risk of prescription drug misuse. Patients showing misuse of medication(s) or attempts of refills by numerous physicians will be discharged from our practice.
